The “Collections” exhibit at the Chicago Urban Art Society is about the symbolic collections that make up a life, so it was fitting that on its second day open it was the backdrop to a very symbolic occasion — a real-life wedding reception.
The exhibit is a series of photographs, large quotes and medium-to-small sized jars and bottles filled with materials including Hebrew prayer books, origami puppies and used inhalers, all available for the visiting collector to take home for prices ranging from upwards of $250 to a mere $5.
