‘Love Flows Both Ways’ is an exploration of the nexus of street culture and fine art and the manifestation of this intersection in the form of the artist multiple. Contemporary art’s love affair with street culture is long and well documented, but street culture’s return love for contemporary art is a more recent phenomena. There is an apparent juxtaposition occurring between the ‘street’ and fine art. It is this very raw and urban artistic reflection that allows lowbrow art makers to present work in high-end settings or displayed within mainstream outlets. Some art makers use through methods be it, iconography, text, sculptural infusion, DIY, found objects and mixed media in an almost populist approach. Thus, allowing collectors of all income levels and backgrounds, access to these art works in purchase power, visibility, and connectivity.
